Introduction
This policy explains how Twin Shift: Mirror Puzzle, published by Elif Nida Kayaduman, handles information when you play.
Twin Shift is a puzzle game built around levels, hints, progression, and landmark unlocks, supported by rewarded and interstitial advertising. The sections below cover what stays on your device, what advertising partners may process, and the choices available to you.
What we don't collect
Playing Twin Shift doesn't require an account, and the game never asks for a profile.
- No sign-up or account creation
- No name, email, phone number, or address collected through the game
- No access to photos, videos, or contacts
- No request for precise location
- No payment information handled by the developer
This covers what the game itself asks of you. Advertising services used within the game may still process certain data on their own — that's detailed in Section 4.
On-device storage
Twin Shift saves gameplay and preference data locally on your device, mainly so progress carries over between sessions.
- Completed levels and overall progression
- Unlocked landmarks, including any unlocked early
- Hint credits and ad-reward state
- Undo status, including free undo availability
- Game settings and rating-prompt state
- Consent state, where applicable
Advertising
Twin Shift uses Google AdMob to serve ads, and may use the Google User Messaging Platform to manage consent where required after App Tracking Transparency has resolved.
Google and its advertising partners may process certain data for ad delivery, fraud prevention, reporting, frequency capping, and measurement when ads are enabled. Depending on your region, consent choices, and device settings, this can include:
- Device information
- Advertising identifiers, where permitted
- Approximate location inferred by Google or AdMob
- Ad interaction and performance data
- Diagnostics and crash-related information
- IP address
- App activity tied to ad serving
This processing is governed by Google's own policies, not ours. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your consent and settings. If App Tracking Transparency permission is denied or restricted, Twin Shift does not access IDFA and does not run Google's consent form; Google Mobile Ads may still serve rewarded or interstitial ads in non-personalized Limited Ads mode. Twin Shift does not use banner ads or app open ads.
Rewarded ads
Some in-game benefits — hint credits, early landmark unlocks — are available in exchange for watching a rewarded ad. These are always optional and independent of App Tracking Transparency permission. Skipping one means skipping the reward; the rest of the game continues as normal.
Interstitial ads
Interstitial ads appear at natural breaks, such as after finishing a level — never during active gameplay. They're separate from rewarded ads and are never used to gate landmark unlocks.
Consent choices
Where consent is required by local regulation, Twin Shift presents a consent form through Google's User Messaging Platform after the App Tracking Transparency decision, and only when App Tracking Transparency permission is authorized. The choice you make there determines whether ads are personalized.
You can revisit privacy choices in the game's settings when Google's privacy options form is available, and manage app tracking more broadly through your iOS device settings.
Tracking permission
iOS lets you limit tracking at the device level. Where Apple's rules require it, Twin Shift will ask for tracking permission before accessing tracking-related identifiers — you're free to allow or deny it.
Denying permission doesn't affect your ability to play or earn hints from rewarded ads. If you deny or restrict tracking permission, Twin Shift does not access IDFA and does not show Google UMP choices; ads may still be requested in non-personalized Limited Ads mode. Twin Shift may use SKAdNetwork or other Apple attribution tools for ad measurement where available.
Children's privacy
Twin Shift is a general-audience puzzle game. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children through accounts, forms, or direct submissions, since the game has none of those.
If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, contact us and we'll review and address it.
Retention
Local progress stays on your device until you delete the app, reset its data, or use an in-game option to clear it. Ad-related data is retained according to Google's own policies — we don't maintain a separate user database.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the game and keep direct data collection to a minimum. No method of storage or transmission is ever fully secure, and we can't guarantee absolute protection.
International use
Twin Shift is available globally. Advertising partners such as Google AdMob may process data in different countries depending on their own infrastructure and legal obligations. Google's privacy terms have more detail on how that processing works.
Policy changes
This policy may be updated occasionally. Any change updates the effective date at the top of this page — continuing to play after that means the new version applies.
